BigStop^® Waterstop

 

Expanding waterstop for reinforced concrete construction joints

 

DESCRIPTION

 

BigStop is a specially formulated construction joint waterstop consisting of a patented blend of butyl rubber and bentonite for use within reinforced concrete structures.  BigStop utilises the unique sealing properties of natural Wyoming sodium bentonite, a non-toxic, chemically inert clay, which can swell many times its dry volume when in contact with water to form an impenetrable gel.

 

BigStop, due to its large section (30mm x 40mm), is ideally suited to larger section / irregular profile concrete construction joints, where the use of our standard Waterstop RX^®101 may be inappropriate.
